Fox News Decisions Office predicts Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom will easily win another term just one year after surviving impeachment proceedings.
Newsom faced California Senator Brian Dahl, his Republican opponent who first sought to impeach the California Democratic candidate.
Newsom gained national attention during his re-election for turning California into an abortion “sanctuary” after the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade in June.
Gavin is originally from Ireland, due to one of his previous grandparents, the son of William Alfred III, who was a judge.
His family separated in 1969, but the date of divorce was in 1972, where he stayed with his father until 1977, after which he moved to live with his mother.
In 1989, he received a baccalaureate degree in literature from Santa Clara University, and he also obtained another university degree in political science.
